With the Bills out of the playoffs you might think there's nothing for them to play for. However with a win Sunday they can accomplish of number of things that they can build on for the 2014 season.
If the Bills can find a way to win, it will be their first ever win at Gillette Stadium. The Stadium opened in 2002. A win will give the Bills a winning record in the AFC East for the first time since the 2007 season. A win will give them a 4-2 record in the division. The swept the Dolphins, split with the Jets and have the chance to split the season series with the Patriots. A win will also give the Bills their first three game winning streak since the first three weeks of the 2011 season.
The Patriots are playing for a first round bye and possibly home field advantage throughout the playoffs. New England clinches a first round bye with a win over a tie against the Bills or a Cincinnati loss or tie plus an Indianapolis loss or tie. The Patriots can clinch home field throughout the playoffs with a win and a Denver loss.
The game was originally scheduled for one o'clock Sunday afternoon however last Sunday it was changed to a 4:25 pm kickoff this Sunday.
