BUFFALO, N.Y.-It was the featured game of the annual Martin Luther King Jr. holiday basketball tournament. No one could have seen it coming. Canisius with a huge 75-48 win over McKinley.
The Crusaders started fast leading 20-8 after the first quarter and they simply never looked back. LaTerrance Reed from Canisius led all scorers with 20 points. Josh Huffamn was the next high scorer for Canisius with ten points. Stafford Trueheart finished with eight points for Canisius including two on a massive dunk off an alley oop feed early in the first quarter.
For McKinley the high scorer was Devin Morris with ten points.
The Crusaders led 52-33 after three quarters.
Canisius improves to 11-2 on the season.
