CONCORD, NY - A unique protest was held Saturday against an act passed by the state legislature and Governor Cuomo one year ago. It was the "Shot Heard Throughout New York State" event held at the Springville Field and Stream Club in the town of Concord to protest the SAFE Act gun control law.

Organizers compared their event to "the shot heard round the world," the 1775 battle in Concord, Massachusetts that signaled the start of the Revolutionary War. That battle began when the British tried to seize weapons held by American militiamen.

Organizers hope is to send a political message to Albany.
